Faux Wood Grain
To create the appearance of wood grain, we use a "graining comb" to remove portions of wet enamel from a contrasting layer of dry enamel beneath it. Depending on the colors used, the effect can be subtle or pronounced, naturalistic or vibrant. When applied to a sealed substrate, faux wood graining can yield a sign that appears to be fashioned from raw planks of wood, but which will weather the elements for much longer.
